This whole topic is obsolete. Use CSS to set the body background and text colours.
The backround colour and the default colour for text and links is defined by attributes of the body tag.
- Background Colour -
<body bgcolor="#??????> - Change the background colour of the page, replace the 6 question marks with hex colour code from the list of colours and codes.
- Text Colour -
<body text="#??????> - Change the default colour of all text on the page, normally this is black.
- Link Colour -
<body link="#??????> - Change the colour of links. The default is usually blue if neither the
linkattribute or a stylesheet is set. - Visited Links -
<body vlink="#??????> - Change the colour of links to pages that have already been visited.
